3 side effects of publishing, 11 confessions from a typewriter, and 10 logs to prove I’m still a multidimensional human before I start marketing the benefits of my paid offerings!
Mike, I'm so glad you are leaning into the paid tier. You've provided tons of value. And your ability to deconstruct and edit essays is prodigious. It only serves right.
I'm also very happy to see the small wins from your pieces. Self-promotion is a challenge for me as well, but I'm trying to lean on the wisdom from The Mucha Method little by little, day by day.
Thanks Camilo! It felt like the time to go for it. I've been dabbling in writing theory & deconstructions over the years, but making it paid will get me to commit. A question I asked through the process was, "what do I want my audience to hold me accountable for?" Glad that some bits from the Mucha Method stuck with you. My thinking on it has evolved on it since. I actually had a whole section on it in this v1 list, but it wasn't gelling with the whole. Maybe I'll wrap it into another essay. Some of it exists in the logs. Would be down to catch up and chat about it some time.
Yes! I would love to read your evolved thoughts on the Mucha Method since that was one of my favorite pieces from last year. And yes, I'll ping you to catch up!
Did you ever visit a site called Keeperoflists.org? It was a funny site in the early 2000s which the most random and hilarious lists. I really miss this site. Like just check this post out.
You followed through on your pre-order comment! Thank you Christin. Some of my thinking around this started to click from your and Vicky's workshop over the summer (framing yourself on a quest). I realized, "oh wait, I'm just trying to bring back architecture school." More on that soon.
